Hello Yachad b’ Nesher friends and family,
I don’t know how it is possible, but this past week was even more jammed packed with exciting activities than the previous week! The girls had a chance to go to pizza making where they sang songs, played games, and met new friends. Friday morning both the boys and the girls had a chance to visit jet skis! We also prepared for shabbos by making challah at cooking and shabbat-o-grams for new friends. Everyone was so excited to see the pre-shabbos video recapping the week. Then we headed to a beautiful Kabbalat Shabbat and dinner. Shabbos morning we all enjoyed shul, board games, meeting new people, and hosting an amazing circle time and duck duck goose game where many of our Nesher friends of all ages joined in. We headed to bed right after shabbos so we would would be well rested for all of our Yachad friends from other camps to come and visit for Yom Nate b’ Yachad. This carnival included games made by Yachad vocational programs from other camps, inflatable rides, carnival snacks, and a Yachad dance party.
Monday we had our first rainy day of camp but made it fun with arts and crafts, cooking, a movie with Eidah Alef and much more. Tuesday was Yom Yisrael which included Israel themed activites and food throughout the day. In anticipation of more rain we headed out to bowling and ice cream on Tuesday. afternoon When we returned to camp the sun was out and our campers were ready to jump into activities such as ropes, ice cream making, ipads, and art. We ended our day with a Yom Yisrael night activity with startions such as pita making, magnet decorating, army training and much more. Wednesday we returned to a regular schedule and the day ended with the camp wide play of The Little Mermaid, featuring our very own Lauren Gage and Daniel Schnur.
We are looking forward to a jam packed final week in camp! Stay tuned for the next update and for more pictures!
