Pricing
Tuition for Yad B’Yad 2025 will be $9950 plus a $500 registration fee required upon applying.
The price for Yad B’Yad includes all accommodations, round-trip airfare from New York, 3 meals a day, trips, and admission fees for regularly scheduled activities for the duration of the trip. Prices do not include flights from outside of NY to NY, traveler’s insurance, spending money for gifts, games, books and snacks or any optional purchases.
Pre-registration, Early Bird Registration and Other Discounts
Rules for Pre-registration: No money down, receive a $275 tuition discount off tuition! (To receive the full discount, must pre-register before official applications open on September 26th and complete full application by November 3rd with initial application fee.)
To receive the $150 Early Bird Registration Discount, you must complete an official application and pay the $500 deposit by November 3rd at 11:59 PM.
To receive the $75 Info Session Discount, a parent and/or teen must attend an Info Session or other Yad B’Yad recruitment event.
Discounts can be combined for a total of $500 off tuition.
Payment Schedule
– $500 due at time of application
- Application fee is non-refundable.
- If an applicant is not accepted, we will refund their deposit in full
– $2,500 due at time of acceptance
– Half of remaining balance due on February 28th
– Balance due on April 30th
All fees must be paid in full to Yachad by April 30th. We reserve the right to give away a spot if fees are not paid in a timely fashion.
Payment Methods
Yachad Summer tuition payments can be made by credit card, debit card, check, ACH (eCheck) or money order. The application fee may be paid by credit card, debit card or ACH and will be processed automatically once the application is submitted.
Yachad Summer currently accepts the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, and Amex. There will be a credit card surcharge of 3% for all credit card. The credit card processing fee is less than our costs associated with accepting your credit card. It will never be more than four percent. There is no fee when using debit card or ACH (eCheck).
Scholarships
Limited financial-aid scholarships are available through Yachad Summer Programs. For more information, please email our office at yachadsummer@ou.org.
As in years past, Yachad Summer Programs is once again applying for funding from RootOne LLC., an organization aimed at helping teens travel to and experience Israel, for Summer 2025. RootOne’s vouchers of $3000 helps offset costs for eligible trip participants only. Yachad Summer Programs is actively applying for our RootOne grant, and we encourage you to take part today! Yachad Summer Programs’ prior RootOne funding is no guarantee of future funding.)
We are happy to assist you in applying for local scholarships through your UJA Federation, Shul, etc. If you are awarded a scholarship from any source, please email a copy of your award letter to braunn@ou.org so that we can reduce your tuition paid out-of-pocket.
Withdrawals, Refunds & Cancellations
Many of the expenses that Yachad pays in advance to our vendors are non-refundable. Therefore, we have developed the following refund schedule to help us cover some of those non-refundable expenses should you choose to cancel from the program.
Refunds are processed solely upon receipt of WRITTEN NOTIFICATION to Yachad. To accomplish this, you may send us an email (using the email address we have for you on file) with your official notice of cancellation.
If your written cancellation is received on or before:
- December 15th of the program year – payments are refundable less $1000
- February 1st of the program year – payments are refundable less $2,000
- April 29th of the program year – payments are refundable less half of tuition
- After April 30th, all payments are no longer refundable.
Flight Arrangements & Luggage
Transportation for the program is via group flights. Airline tickets are not transferable and may not be exchangeable for reservations at any other date. All flight deviation fees are the responsibility of parents of program participants. Yachad is not responsible for the cancellation or schedule change of any flights nor any fees connected with their cancellation, schedule change or lost baggage. In all cases of lost or damaged luggage, program participants must deal directly with the airline. After acceptance to the program, information regarding recommended travel insurance will be sent to participants.
Interview & Acceptance
Interviews and acceptances will be on a rolling basis. Acceptance to the program is contingent upon completion of full application, successful interview, and receipt of one letter of recommendation. Additionally, participants must submit a medical form and a copy of their medical insurance card before tickets are issued. All decisions regarding acceptance are at the sole discretion of the Director of Yachad Summer Programs.
Termination
The Director of Summer Programs reserves the right to terminate a child’s participation on a Yachad Summer Program. When the decision has been made to remove a participant from the program, it will be done as soon as possible. The participant will either be signed out by a relative or transferred under the supervision of our tour provider and/or staff to a facility until proper travel arrangements are finalized. Return travel in this situation will be unchaperoned. Yachad will take into account all practical considerations and difficulties (flight availability, cost, etc.) when making these arrangements. Any cost incurred in sending a participant home to due to the violation of the program’s code of conduct will be at the participant’s and his or her parent’s or guardian’s own expense. There will be no refunds given for any portion of the trip that is unused.
Subject to Change
All program dates are subject to change and all program fees are subject to change due to flight and fuel price increases and other variables. Additionally, the duration, itinerary or other details of the program may be canceled, curtailed, altered or modified without prior notice, obligation, or reimbursement.
