What’s up Yad B’Yaders!! My name is Eytan Aryeh – Yes, it’s spelled with a Y, and I’m SUPER pumped to be coming back as the Director of YBY once again. I hail from Woodmere, NY and am a proud graduate of DRS Yeshiva HS (Go Wildcats!!) I had the privilege to be learning in the Old City of Yerushalayim at Yeshivat Hakotel for two years and continued learning in YU, studying psychology and a little bit of business management on the side. I am currently part of the Semicha program in YU (formally known as RIETS) and am getting a Masters in Industrial and Organizational Psychology as well.
In my free time, you can usually find me singing to myself (can’t wait for those epic Kumzitzes this summer!) or playing any sport you can think of (but let’s be real, we all know hockey is the best). Oh, and just to give you a heads up, as you guys will find out soon enough… I’m a bit of a Yachad nutcase. Ever since my first Shabbaton back in 9th grade, I’ve bled Blue and Orange. I went on Yad B’Yad in 2014 as a participant #WestCoastBestCoast (come find me over the summer for an explanation of this hashtag), worked at Mesorah Yachad for 2 summers, and then returned to Yad B’Yad where I’ve spent the previous 5 summers! Additionally, during the school year, I work for Yachad NY as the Director of School Engagement (so come find me Nyers! Let’s make your High School’s rock!) Anyway, I can’t wait to meet each and every one of you and spend the summer together in Eretz Hakodesh, ie. “The Most Amazing Place on Earth”!!
