My name is Jen Saibel and I am thrilled to be the Director of YBY. I fell in love with Yachad, and this incredible program, on my first day of staff orientation on Yad B’Yad 2010 and it has been part of my life ever since. After three summers on Yad B’Yad, I served as the Program Director for Getaway and Moshava Malibu (now Alevy) for two summers each. Throughout my time at Stern College for Women, I was a shabbaton coordinator, marathon runner, and an office intern for Yachad. More recently, I was the interim Director of the Yachad Israel Vocational Center. I absolutely love Yachad!
I made Aliyah to Modi’in in 2017 with my husband, Eric, and my fun and sweet son, Judah. I love living here and am so proud we made the move, but my hometown will always be West Orange, NJ. I grew up there, met my husband there, and ran NCSY programming with unbelievable teens there for seven years. It worked out very well for me that any orange shtick I owned worked for both Yachad and West O NCSY.
I am also an Occupational Therapist with a Masters degree from Seton Hall University. I am super passionate about the field and enabling all individuals to reach their potential and do the things they want and need to do in their daily lives. I use my OT skills, tips, and tricks in so many areas of my life.
I love Yad B’Yad and all the incredible things that come along with it – great friends, tons of ruach, exploring Israel, and the joy of belonging. YBY has been my happy place for many years and I am counting down the days until we can create our magical experience together!
