Hi – my name is Rachel Mendelson and I am so excited to be spending the summer with all of you as the Assistant Director of Yad B’Yad and “Camp Mom”! I have been involved in Yachad ever since I was a participant on Yad B’Yad after 10th grade. Since then, I have spent countless summers, shabbatons, marathons and programs with Yachad and just finished my 7th summer on Yad B’Yad. I grew up in Teaneck, NJ and went to Ma’ayanot for High School. I spent a year learning in Tiferet and then made my way to Stern College. After that I got my LMSW at Wurzweiler School of Social Work. During the year, I work at Westchester Torah Academy as the Middle School Dean of Students and School Social Worker. I love spending time with my students, and am always learning new things. I am really looking forward to spend the summer with each of you while we get to learn, grow and have fun together! Counting down the days until… Yad B’Yad!
