Hello YBY 2019!!!! My name is Dani Wind and I’m beyond excited to meet you all this summer! I was born and raised in Teaneck, NJ, Ir Hakodesh, and B”H made Aliyah this past October, to the true Eretz Hakodesh! I’m currently studying Psychology and Special Education at Bar Ilan University and livin’ the life in a fabulous city called Givat Shmuel. Last year I did Sherut Leumi at Shalva in Yerushalayim, and embraced my inner Israeli in Migdal Oz the previous year where I learnt that it’s nearly impossible to master two languages at once. But we’re getting there. Before that, I spent a spectacular 4 years at Ma’ayanot where I was a 3-time champion of the Purim costume contest. Yes. I’m all about the shtick. I spent the past 5 summers with Yachad (shout out to Nesher Yachad!), and I’m super pumped to experience my 3^rd YBY with you all!!! Buzzfeed tells me I’m fun, and I’m very positive that some fun facts about myself can convince you guys of that as well. So here goes nothing! I can dislocate my shoulder at will, I absolutely love sweet potato sushi and Reese’s (not together of course), I still wear my retainer every night without fail, Kabbalat Shabbat is my favorite part of the week, I make killerrrr brownies, and I’m a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do (so ya, don’t mess with curfew). The rest will be continued in person, fellas! Get excited for the best, most inclusive summer yet!!!!!
